Ten local artists have consigned pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs) which are created by using the wax-resist method. Each pysanky (singular) is rich in color and design. The symbols and colors on the pysanky have a significant meaning. Prices range from $20.00 to $45.00 for chicken eggs. On ostrich egg pysanky price begins at $150.00.
The contents of the pysanky (eggs) are blown out. This makes shipping of the pysanky less hazardous. UCI had shipped pysanky throughout the continental United Sates. Click here for more information about Pysanky.
